The MRSA is an offshoot of the cricket team formed a few years ago by the more senior members, basically in an effort to keep active during the winter by walking in the countryside. You can find us out every Saturday, come rain or shine and most walks nowadays are around the 7 mile mark, usually starting around 12.30 to 1.00 pm, finishing up at a pub for a couple of pints.
So far there are 5 of us who have fully completed the Leicestershire Round, a walk of about 100 miles, although there is one other who reckons to have completed the round also, how he managed to do that by only walking one day is beyond me, you're only cheating yourself!
Our little group is growing though, and it is pleasing to see other non cricketers joining in.
We've done a bit of Wales, and in May last year had a few days in the Lake District, but the 3 days of constant rain put a bit of a damper on this trip. Future plans include the Coast to Coast walk, and we'll hopefully be back in The Lakes early May time.
Anybody wanting to tag along should call Nick Smith, Clive Hunt or Chris Fellows, or register your interest on the contacts page.
